The Process
This workshop will restore our sense of meaning and direction from within by creating a truly democratic space to listen deeply to ourselves and one another. When we are given space to listen, we reset the habitual thinking that no longer serves us and locate the narratives that will reconnect us to our purpose. It is through this process that we take hold of our agency and our full creative potential.
Over the five days we’re fast tracked into the creative body through a collective experience. We will not be looking at past work or teaching you techniques of any kind (that’s the easy stuff). We will uplift your creative selves and lead them to a better place, so they can be known more fully and thrive.
The course begins with a two day process led by Siân and assisted by Abbie which will facilitate you to come home to your intuitive selves, where everything you need to know is already there. This process has been designed so that you can move past limiting beliefs about who you are and connect with narratives that serve you better. You will leave with a renewed perspective of yourself, your purpose, and a connection to a community.
This is an experiential, collaborative process where each participant's presence is integral to the experience. Meeting yourself is hard work, but the reward will be untold. We ask that prospective attendees arrive with a willingness to do strong interpersonal work in a group setting.
After the first two days, you will be ready to narrate your story through writing, poetry, or improvisation. The practitioner leading this will be announced in advance. The final day will be spent concluding the workshop with a wood fired sauna, mineral scrubs, breath work and a cold water plunge. We will use the estate's wilderness to reconnect with our bodies with a river immersion each morning and a night spent walking through the woods calling in the owls. Expect long conversations over Siân’s dinner table, home cooked meals, midsummer evenings spent around the fire and, of course, there’s the occasional kitchen disco.
The workshop will be tough, but it will also inspire you in unimaginable ways. You will emerge with fresh perspectives having worked in depth within a nurturing community who will stay with you for life as the work unfolds beyond the five days.
Who’s it for?
We believe creativity isn't exclusive to artists or those with a practice; it's the foundation of being human. Creativity permeates everything we do, guiding us as we curate our lives. It's present in every decision we make and every challenge we overcome. It's the essence that drives our life force.
We have designed the workshop with this philosophy in mind. You don't need to be an artist to apply. This workshop is for anyone who wants to delve deeper into what they do, as well as for those who feel stuck. It's also for individuals who have a desire to bring something into the world, even if they're unsure of what that is. We therefore welcome participants from all professions and backgrounds. Every person's experience is valid here. All you need to do is show up and commit to participating.
