Mentoring

Following a 15 year career as a psychotherapist in a private practice, British artist Siân Davey launched a career in photography in 2013, drawing on her experiences as a psychotherapist and mother to inform her work.

Siân’s mentoring sessions are designed to support others to develop their own creative process.

Her approach is rich, rewarding and flexible. She works with both established and emerging photographers offering appropriate critical and practical in-depth advice. Siân is interested in working with a wide range of issues, including what’s holding an artist back in their practice and also helping artists to get beneath their ideas and identify their unique voice. Siân can also offer help with editing and sequencing as well as formulating an artist statement that speaks clearly about your practice.

Essentially, Siân’s role is to walk alongside an artist to support them in manifesting their vision. What emerges from this process is always interesting and exciting and often takes their work to unimagined places.
